Treatment Plan
Acupuncture is a process. It is unrealistic to expect your problem to resolve after one treatment. In China, a typical treatment protocol for a chronic condition could be acupuncture every other day for three months! Most people don’t require that much acupuncture, but virtually every patient requires a course of treatment, which can vary in length and frequency.
I am able to keep treatment prices so low, in part because of the extraordinary amount of marketing patients do on my behalf – I don’t need to advertise. I cannot express how grateful I am for this. CommuniChi’s patients are such effective marketers because they have first-hand experience of how well acupuncture works. Satisfied patients basically made a commitment to a course of treatment.
Forms
Dear Friend,
Please print and fill out the Patient Intake Form and bring them with you to your first appointment if possible. If you don’t have a printer, or prefer, you can fill these forms out at the clinic.
Community Supported Acupuncture depends upon your support. By helping me in this way, I have more time to focus on your health. Thank you!

Sliding Scale
The Sliding Scale: $30 to $80 per treatment. You decide what to pay.
CommuniChi does not receive grants from foundations, state or federal government, or insurance reimbursement. CommuniChi exists because patients pay for their treatments and refer their friends and family - it is a sustainable community business model. Please pay by check or credit card if possible, it saves me a trip to the bank. To pay by credit card, please click on the "Pay" button below. CommuniChi is a social business. By paying at the highest level you can afford, I am able to serve a wider community.
Most US acupuncturists see one or two patients per hour and may charge up to $250 per treatment. They tend to spend a long time talking with each patient, going over medical records, asking many questions. In order to make acupuncture affordable for you and sustainable for me, I streamline the treatments. Instead of asking lots of questions, I rely on a quarter century of experience to treat you. This is exactly how acupuncture is traditionally practiced in Asia. High quality acupuncture in a community atmosphere at affordable rates...that's the essence of CommuniChi.
Research in the United States (as well as thousands of years of tradition in Asia) has shown that acupuncture is most effective when it is done frequently and regularly. Once a week is usually the minimum required to make progress on any health issue. The purpose of our sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; I want you to come in often enough to get better and stay better!
About the "Pay" button: Yes, I need to be paid in order to continue offering these services, especially here in an expensive city like Seattle. However, I encourage you to also contemplate the spirit of "dana". Dana is a Sanskrit word which I like to translate as "gift of the heart". Dana acknowledges are interconnectedness.
In the conventional language of capitalism, there are consumers and providers. Health care and even the earth itself, are too often reduced to external commodities – something we pay for and can then “own” for our personal use. True healing involves a paradigm shift, a softening of our rigid dualistic view of the world. When we practice seeing the world from this more spacious attitude, our energy flows more smoothly and we live at ease within the mandala of life, with less tension and pain in body and mind.
