It has been four years now in CommuniChi’s current location on Mount Baker and 2017 was our best ever. I say “our” because to each one of you who came for acupuncture, I give thanks, not only for supporting my work, but for supporting your own path of healing. We are all connected. Supporting each other and giving ourselves self-care gives hope for the future of our shared world. Never before has this been more important.
I offer here two recent articles I authored which expand upon this hope. Because Communichi continues to be a thriving acupuncture clinic supported by all of you, I am able to offer a portion of my time every week giving back to the community. Read more about the healing of the justice system via a program I’ve been leading at King County Department of Corrections, teaching meditation to individuals at a jail diversion program. 2017 has been a challenging year on the national political, social, and environmental stage as we witness continued assaults on not only democratic freedoms, but the very planetary life support systems. An atmosphere of negativity spreads like a toxic gas through the news and social media channels. Violence against life seems more epidemic than ever. Earlier this month, a Tibetan Buddhist master shared his thoughts on how we can mentally transform this situation without falling prey to a sense of depression or hopelessness. Blessings of peace and health for all people and living beings, and the Earth in the new year.
